The moulds are out. What a battle. The canopy wouldn't release so the chisel was required. The mould release was fine but there was a slight lip which retained it. Unfortunately I just caught the mould with a chisel!! Idiot!! But the repair looks pretty good. The fuse was a real battle. The jacking bolts didn't budge it so I went round the edges with a chisel. Gentle taps at first then really good whacks as desperation set in. It finally let go and looks good. The problem with the release was the split face had not released in places. It came off the splitter board fine but the second coat stuck for some reason. It had wax and PVA but basically tore chunks out to get it apart. The jacking bolts had driven through the tinplate bearing surface and into the gel coat. Doesn't affect the mould at all. Just have to dress the outside edges of the moulds so the vacuum bag won't get punctured. After that I've got to set up the vacuum gear. Next

challenge is to make a catch pot from a propane bottle (thanks Ray) to go between the moulds and the pump.
